The Eden Project Partnership

We partner with the Eden Project, a leader in environmental education, highlighting the important role businesses play in combating the nature and climate crisis.

According to the State of Finance for Nature report, a total investment in nature of USD 8.1 trillion is required between now and 2050 to successfully tackle the interlinked climate, biodiversity, and land degradation crises. No one organisation, no one sector can do this alone. We need to work collaboratively to combine our skills and ideas to shape the path to a nature-rich future.

Through our initiatives, from a Nature Recovery Blueprint to bringing thought leaders from nature and finance together at our Frontier Connect Forum, we highlight the benefits of cross-sector collaboration in supporting nature recovery. By combining Foresight's investment and land management expertise with the Eden Project's knowledge, we continually seek new ways to enhance positive nature solutions, not just across Foresight but the entire industry.

Focusing on three key areas we deliver on these commitments through:

1

Defining

Defining how a business like ours can respond to nature recovery, with our Nature Recovery Ambition Statement.

2

Demonstrating

Demonstrating tangible positive outcomes for nature through our portfolio of assets and creating a blueprint for other businesses to contribute to a nature rich future.

3

Engaging

Engaging with our stakeholders on nature recovery and what we can do collectively to mobilise capital and cross sector collaboration around nature.

Nature Recovery Blueprint

In collaboration with the Eden Project Foresight produced a Nature Recovery Blueprint. The guide aims to help land managers, developers, asset managers and operators to implement nature positive management practices.

"Through our partnership with Foresight, we hope to inspire other businesses to follow its lead. We share a deep concern that the UK is one of the most nature-depleted countries, having only around 50% of its biodiversity left. This is well below the global average of 75% and leaves the nation in the bottom 10% globally in terms of biodiversity preservation. Action is needed now."

Frontier Connect Forum

Frontier Connect Forum forms part of Foresight's Frontier initiative, a unique platform for investors and industry experts to engage with the latest strategies, trends and challenges shaping private market funds. Hosted at the Eden Project, leaders from government, finance and science gathered to address a pressing question - how do we mobilist capital at scale into sustainable infrastructure and nature by 2030?

“We are delighted to partner with the Eden Project - a collaboration that began in March 2022 and has since evolved into a powerful platform for nature restoration, education, and impact. Together, we are creating and restoring diverse, wildlife-rich, and better-connected habitats, while deepening our understanding of biodiversity and nature-positive investment. This partnership is about more than alignment, it’s about action. From co-developing a Nature Recovery Blueprint and hosting our annual Frontier Forum, to hands-on seed collection days, we’re connecting our people and investors with nature in meaningful ways.”
