Our portfolio

Shotwick

Location: United Kingdom
Installed capacity: 72MW
Connection date: March 2016
Status: Operational

The largest solar farm in the United Kingdom when it began operating in March 2016, Shotwick has an installed capacity of 72MW. Producing green electricity year-around, the plant can provide enough power to meet the demand of as many as 25,000 UK households for an entire year.

Located in Flintshire, in the north of Wales, the site benefits from Foresight Group’s active asset management approach, being one of the locations that partners with local farmers to allow their sheep to safely graze around the panels.

Our portfolio

Lorca

Location: Spain
Installed capacity: 99MW
Connection date: August 2022
Status: Operational

A 99MW project comprising three sites, Lorca is an excellent example of Foresight Solar’s income and growth strategy. Foresight Group’s Madrid team oversaw the purchase and construction of the plants and secured a 10-year power purchase agreement to provide long-term revenue visibility and ensure dividend cover.

Less than 24 months after acquisition, Los Llanos (49MW), Los Picos (20MW) and Las Salinas (30MW) started exporting electricity to the grid. The strong operational performance drew interest from a partner that took a 50% stake in the project, crystalising value for the fund and allowing Foresight Solar to recycle capital into other opportunities.
